2. General information on data processing
We basically process personal data of our users only insofar as this is necessary to provide a functional website as well as our content and services. Processing usually takes place only with the consent of the person concerned, for the fulfilment of a contract or to comply with legal obligations.
3. Hosting and technical provision
This website is provided via a static hosting platform. When you access the website, technically necessary information such as IP address, date and time of access and information about the device and browser used is automatically processed in server log files. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the technically secure and fault-free provision of the website. This data is not merged with other personal data and is deleted once it is no longer technically necessary.
4. Contact
When you contact us via the enquiry form, email or phone, the data you submit (such as name, contact details and booking requests) is processed. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR for pre-contractual measures and, where no contract follows, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR for handling your enquiry. The data is deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the purpose.
5. Online booking via Hotellogin
Booking a holiday apartment is done via our external booking system (Hotellogin) at /booking.html?server=s15&hotel=aktivmontafon&locale=3. When you make a booking, your details (such as name, address, payment and booking data) are transmitted to this service provider. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR; the processing is necessary for contract fulfilment. The booking provider's own privacy terms apply to data processing on its pages.
6. Cookies and local notice
Technically necessary functions are stored locally so that the website works and your cookie choice can be remembered. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We do not use advertising cookies.
On first visit, a privacy notice is displayed. Your choice is stored in the local storage of your browser under the key aktiv-ferienwohnungen-cookie-choice-v2. You can delete this entry via your browser settings. The notice can be reopened at any time via the "Cookie notice" link in the footer.
7. Google Analytics
With your consent we use Google Analytics (gtag.js, measurement ID G-0Z9S6XEWMX) of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. The purpose is the statistical evaluation of website usage (such as pages visited and device or browser information). The legal basis is your consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Without consent, the statistics code is not loaded.
Google may set cookies such as _ga and _ga_* in the process. Transmission to Google LLC in the USA is possible. You can withdraw your consent at any time via the "Cookie notice" link in the footer (then "Necessary only") or delete the cookies in your browser. Withdrawal takes effect for the future and does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out up to that point.
8. External links and social media references
This website contains references to the websites of our partner businesses and to social media profiles. When you follow these links, you leave our area of responsibility; the respective operator is responsible for the processing of personal data on the linked websites. We do not embed social media plugins on this website that would transfer data to the operators automatically.
9. Recipients and processors
Recipients of personal data are mainly the hosting provider mentioned above and the operator of the booking system within contract fulfilment. If statistics consent has been given, Google Ireland Limited is also a recipient of the usage data collected via Google Analytics. Data is only passed on to other third parties where legal obligations provide for it.
10. Retention period
We process and store personal data only as long as necessary for the respective purpose or to comply with legal retention obligations. Once the purpose no longer applies, the data is deleted. Where deletion conflicts with statutory retention periods (in particular tax and commercial law retention periods under Austrian law, usually seven years), we restrict processing to the legally required retention.
11. Your rights as a data subject
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR) and objection (Art. 21 GDPR). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority. The responsible supervisory authority in Austria is:
Austrian Data Protection Authority
Barichgasse 40-42, 1030 Vienna
Website: www.dsb.gv.at
12. Obligation to provide data
Providing personal data is necessary for contract fulfilment or for handling your enquiry. If you do not provide this data, a booking or enquiry may not be possible.
13. Currency and adjustments
This privacy policy is current as of September 2026. Due to the further development of our website or changed legal or regulatory requirements, it may become necessary to adjust this privacy policy.
